Following is a list of upcoming writing and film-related events in and around Nashville, TN. Click on the links for more information or to register for events.  

Weekly

  • The Tennessee Screenwriting Association (TSA) meets from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film, located at 2298 Rosa L Parks Blvd. in Nashville. Meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings typically include presentations/discussions of scripts from members or educational sessions on the craft of screenwriting.

June 21-22

James V. Hart2019 Script-Com Screenwriting Conference and master class by James V. Hart. Events include a Friday night screening of Bram Stoker’s Dracula at Full Moon Cineplex in Hermitage followed by an all-day conference at Lipscomb University’s Shamblin Theater in Nashville. Admission to both events is $50 for non-TSA members, $40 for TSA members.

Oct. 3-12

  • NaFF logoThe 50th Anniversary Nashville Film Festival will be held Oct. 3-12, 2019. This marks the first time the festival will be held in the fall. Screenwriting competitions and film competitions are currently open for entries. Check their website for more details.
