FAQ
What Is ‘Page 2 Screen’?
Page 2 Screen (“P2S”) is a half-hour TV series taped in front of a studio audience at the NECAT studio in West Nashville. In talk-show style interview segments, we integrate film clips, production stills, slides, and sections of the film’s screenplay into each episode. P2S is already airing on Comcast Channel 19 in Nashville and through the NECAT app on Roku. The series is headed to YouTube in early September.
Who Makes P2S?
The Tennessee Screenwriting Association is a not-for-profit 501c that formed in 1988, making it one of the oldest screenwriting groups in the country. TSA members themselves volunteer to produce P2S episodes on the last Wednesday of each month. TSA has partnered with NFF on past events and promotions but this year, we want to specifically shine a spotlight on Tennessee’s local writer-directors.
When and Where is the P2S Taping?
The Tennessee Filmmaker series will be taped on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The NECAT studio is on the campus of Nashville State Community College on White Bridge Road. Here’s a map.
My Friend Makes Documentaries/Music Videos/Reality TV Shows/Novels… Can They Book An Appearance?
Sorry. Our show is focused on long- and short-form film and TV narrative storytelling.
How Do I Book an Interview?
Email producer Mark Naccarato at page2screenshow@gmail.com to get things started. Interview appearances are being conducted throughout the day on the half-hour, but Filmmakers must schedule a slot with us by Sept. 15 to ensure they are on the schedule.
What Do I Need to Bring to the Taping?
If you’re the writer or director of the film, all we need is you – on set and on time. All Filmmakers must provide us with their film’s promotional clips and press materials by Sept. 22. Filmmakers will also be asked to complete the standard clearance and broadcast forms from NECAT. Food and drinks will be provided by the TSA and guest seating is limited.
What Should I Talk About?
Since our show is specifically targeted to screenwriters, we’d like to hear about your writing process and transforming your script into the film medium. You’re welcome to tell us your background, what your favorite films are, or on-set war stories, but once our camera rolls, time goes by faster than you think so be prepared. Show producers are available to the Filmmakers via Zoom or phone to prep before the studio taping.
How Can I Watch My Segment on P2S?
Our episodes always premiere first on Comcast Channel 19 in Davidson County, and then roll out to YouTube and social media 2-3 weeks later. All filmmakers will be kept apprised of airdates, links, etc.
