Daniel Spear was born in Hobbs, New Mexico. At age 20, he left the Southwest and moved to Nashville to attend Lipscomb University. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Lipscomb in Animation in 2018.

After graduation, Daniel worked as a video editor for a few clients and worked on multiple projects of his own.  Unfortunately, he started numerous projects and never finished them. He gave serious thought to what he really wanted to focus on, and that was screenwriting. He is now focused on screenwriting spec scripts and accepting writing assignments.

Daniel has written three horror spec scripts. One was a quarterfinalist in the Horror screenwriting competition by Screencraft. As a director and actor, he is best known for “Oreo?” (2019) and “Tomorrow” (2021). His current project is a short film in preproduction.

He is also a part of the Tennessee Screenwriters Association (TSA) where he is both a board member and the Technical Director for the TSA show, “Page2Screen.” When he is not screenwriting, Daniel loves to be out in nature, exploring the multiple hiking trails in his area.
